Jason Duval

Jason Duval is one of the main protagonists of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. He resides in a house on the Leonida Keys archipelago and is affiliated with local drug smugglers, working closely with veteran trafficker Brian Heder.

The house Jason lives in belongs to Brian Heder. In exchange for accommodation at one of Heder’s properties in Key Lento, Jason assists him with local illicit operations, including collecting money from tenants.

He is involved in the criminal underworld of the Leonida Keys and maintains close ties to the region’s drug trade. From time to time, he visits Brian socially, often sharing a glass of sangria prepared by Brian’s wife, Lori.

At some point, Jason becomes closely associated with Lucia Caminos, a female criminal who previously served time in Leonida Penitentiary. Their partnership becomes a central element of the narrative.

As shown in the trailers, Jason and Lucia rob various establishments across multiple counties of Leonida and find themselves caught up in a series of dangerous situations, including armed confrontations and high-speed chases, gradually drawing them into a broader criminal conspiracy. Their relationship appears to extend beyond professional cooperation, suggesting a personal connection as well.

Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.

The duo of Jason and Lucia seems to be inspired by the real-life criminals Bonnie and Clyde.
- On the official GTA 6 announcement cover, the couple’s personal car shows bullet holes, reminiscent of Bonnie and Clyde’s ambushed vehicle.
- By the way, the well-known Catalina from the 3D Universe of the series may also have been inspired by Bonnie.
Jason’s surname may reference William Pope Duval, the first civilian governor of the Florida Territory who served from 1822 to 1834, whose name was later given to numerous locations across Florida, including the well-known Duval Street in Key West.
