Jason Duval

Jason Duval is one of the main characters of the game Grand Theft Auto VI. He lives in the town of Key-Lento on the archipelago of Leonida Keys and works for an experienced smuggler Brian Heder, helping him run an illegal business in the county.

The house where Jason settled belongs to Brian. In exchange for housing, he runs various errands for him, including collecting payments from tenants. In his free time, Jason often drops by Brian's, where he chats with him and his wife Lori, who treats guests to homemade sangria.

Later, Jason grows close to Lucia Caminos — a criminal recently released from the Leonida correctional facility. Their union becomes one of the central storylines of the game.

Judging by the trailers, Jason and Lucia commit robberies together across Leonida and find themselves caught up in a series of dangerous events. Armed clashes, chases, and other risky ventures gradually lead them to a large-scale criminal conspiracy.

At the same time, the relationship between the heroes is not limited to joint criminal activity. Everything points to a deeper personal connection developing between Jason and Lucia, which will play an important role in their story.

Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.
Another day in paradise, right?
Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he'd like it to turn out but right now, it's hard to tell.

Miscellaneous

The duo of Lucia and Jason is likely inspired by Bonnie and Clyde — famous American criminals whose fate has long become part of pop culture.
- On the official art for the GTA 6 announcement, their car is depicted with bullet holes, which may reference the end of Bonnie and Clyde's story, when their car was shot up in a police ambush.
- It is assumed that the image of Catalina may have been partially inspired by the same story.
Jason's surname, according to one version, refers to William Pope Duval, the first civilian governor of the Florida Territory. Various objects in the state are named after him, including Duval Street in Key West.
