Jason Duval

Jason Duval — one of the main characters of the game Grand Theft Auto VI. He lives in the town Key Lento on the archipelago Leonida Keys and works for an experienced smuggler Brian Heder, helping him run an illegal business in the area.

The house where Jason settled belongs to Brian. In exchange for housing, he performs various tasks for him, including collecting payments from tenants. In his free time, Jason often visits Brian's, where he talks with him and his wife Lori, who treats guests to homemade sangria.

Later, Jason gets close to Lucia Caminos — a criminal who recently left a correctional facility in Leonida. Their union becomes one of the central storylines of the game.

According to trailers, Jason and Lucia together commit robberies throughout Leonida and get drawn into a series of dangerous events. Armed confrontations, chases, and other risky adventures gradually lead them to a large-scale criminal conspiracy.

However, the relationship between the characters is not limited to just joint criminal activity. Everything suggests that a deeper personal connection develops between Jason and Lucia, which will play an important role in their story.

Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder.
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.
Another day in paradise, right?
Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he'd like it to turn out but right now, it's hard to tell.

Miscellaneous

The duo of Lucia and Jason was apparently inspired by Bonnie and Clyde — famous American criminals whose fate became part of pop culture long ago.
- In the official art for the GTA 6 announcement, their car is depicted with bullet holes, which may reference the end of the Bonnie and Clyde story, when their car was shot up in a police ambush.
- It is assumed that the image of Catalina could have been partially inspired by the same story.

Jason's surname, according to one version, refers to William Pope Duval — the first civilian governor of the territory of Florida. In his honor, various objects in the state are named, including Duval Street in Key West.
