Méndez is a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto VI and an officer of the Vice City Police Department. He is known for a harsh approach to the job and shows little mercy to anyone who gets in his way. He leads the raid on Venture Apartments.
Biography
Judging by his badge, Méndez belongs to a Vice City police task force that carries out raids and searches against dangerous criminals. He led a raid on the Venture Apartments complex in Rockridge, which the San4San gang controlled.
Jason and Lucia were in the building to collect a delivery for Boobie Ike from Raymond, a San4San member. During the meeting, Raymond was still waiting for word from Ernesto, his business partner, who had gone missing. Soon Ernesto called and warned that members of the task force were on their way. The raid began shortly afterward under Méndez's command.
Méndez and his team acted ruthlessly and outside the law, killing everyone who stood in their way, even unarmed people and those trying to surrender. A cornered San4San member tried to give up, saying the gun was empty, and Méndez shot him in the head without hesitation.
He then told his team to clean up the scene and nearly spotted Jason and Lucia. The pair had watched the killing from inside the elevator and slipped out of sight as the doors closed.
