A national landmark up against the state’s northern border, Mount Kalaga offers prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. In the lush surrounding backwoods, hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government.
Mount Kalaga — a national park in Grand Theft Auto VI, located on the northern border of Leonida. The park is known for its dense forests, canyons, and river valleys, offering visitors a wide range of outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, kayaking, and off-road trips.
Local fauna includes deer, cougars, and foxes, while the surrounding forests are inhabited by rural mystics and paranoid radicals seeking to hide from intrusive authorities.
The park's landscape is inspired by regions of Georgia and northern Florida. The canyon was likely influenced by Providence Canyon State Park in southwestern Georgia, and the mountain resembles Table Rock in western North Carolina.
The river flowing through it is based on the Suwannee River, and the railroad bridge over it may be modeled after the Hillman Bridge in the ghost town of Ellaville in Florida. The name "Kalaga" comes from the Cherokee word ᎧᎸᎬ (kalvgv), meaning "east" or "sunrise".
