Los Santos is a large city in the south of the State of San Andreas in GTA V and GTA Online. It serves as the administrative center of Los Santos County, the most developed and populous county in the southern part of the state. The city is split into numerous districts and neighborhoods, several of them former independent communities.
The city is based on Los Angeles.
Geography
Downtown Los Santos is the city's business district, with high-rises such as Maze Bank Tower, the FIB Headquarters and the headquarters of the IAA. To the north lies Vinewood, the hub of the film industry with its theaters and nightclubs, and above it Vinewood Hills with views over the city, the Vinewood Sign and celebrity homes.
The west holds the wealthy neighborhoods: Richman with its mansions and the Los Santos Golf Club, Rockford Hills with shops along Portola Drive, Morningwood with old cinemas and Pacific Bluffs with the Kortz Center. On the western coast lie Del Perro with its namesake pier and Vespucci with its beaches, canals and waterfront promenade.
The south and east of the city are poorer. South Los Santos is covered in public housing and is home to the street gangs Ballas and The Families; the city of Davis sits inside it.
East Los Santos is populated mostly by Latin Americans and remains an industrial district where Los Santos Vagos and Marabunta Grande hold sway. Also in the south are the industrial La Puerta with Maze Bank Arena, the port and Los Santos Airport, both among the busiest in the world.
