Rockstar Games has revealed the new Rockstar Mission Creator, allowing players to create their own missions in GTA Online.

The Mission Creator was added to the game with the 'A Safehouse in the Hills' update.

Main

  • Rockstar Mission Creator is a new tool that allows players to create and publish their own missions with cutscenes and branching scenarios.

  • Story missions can include chases, heists, and shootouts, as well as cinematic cutscenes and explosive finales.

  • To start creating your own mission, enter the Pause Menu in GTA Online, then navigate to Online > Rockstar Creator > Create a Mission.

  • The mission editor allows you to create complex and dynamic missions, control NPC behavior, and support up to 8 players at the same time.

  • Through the editor, you’ll be able to use previously inaccessible interiors and other locations on the map, including the deck of the USS Luxington aircraft carrier, the Cluckin’ Bell factory, various banks, and more.

  • Five tutorial missions created by Rockstar will help you learn the editor. These missions can be launched from the Jobs Menu or accessed directly in the Mission Creator.

  • Additionally, a short overview of the mission editor is available on the 'How to Everything' YouTube channel.

  • You can share your experience using the editor on the GTA Online feedback page.

Publishing Missions

  • You can publish a draft of your upcoming mission in the #job-sharing channel on the official Rockstar Games Discord server to discuss it with other creators. More information about mission creation can be found in the #creator-tools channel.

  • When publishing a finished mission in-game, be sure to tag it with #communityseries so Rockstar Games can notice it. Your creation may even be featured in a new Community Series.

  • If you’re interested in another creator’s mission, you can bookmark it in the Jobs section and then find it in the Pause Menu: Online > Jobs > Play Job > Bookmarked.

Its story is inspired by the classic GTA trilogy.

  • For a limited time, the Old School Hits mission will award 4X GTA$ and RP.
